For sits longer than 1 night we ask that you transfer full payment for your sit at least 5 days before it begins.

For all other sits we ask that you transfer full payment before the sit begins.

For day sits/single overnight sits:

Cancellations more than 48 hours before a sit begins will incur no fees.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the start of a sit are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

For multi-day sits:

Cancellations more than 14 days before a sit begins will incur no fees.

Cancellations 7-14 days before the start of a sit are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 7 days of the start of a sit are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

All owners must fill in the Pet Information Form before the start of the first sit. If your pet falls ill during the sit and we are unable to contact you, we will contact the vet on the form. Owners are responsible for payment for any treatment administered.

It is the owner's responsibility to disclose their pet's previous health and agression history to Sunset Paws. If a pet displays aggressive behaviour towards us and we are not able to safely manage the situation, we reserve the right to contact the emergency contact listed on the Pet Information Form and end the sit.

Please note we do not allow medication dose changes or withdrawals during sits unless for urgent reasons, as this could have an impact on your dog's reactivity. This includes behavioural medication, pain relief and allergy medication. If you believe your pet will require an adjustment to their medication during a sit, please discuss this with us when booking.

During sits we keep formal handling to a minimum to avoid causing additional stress to the dogs in our care. As a result, we will only groom your dog (brushing, baths, ear cleaning, teeth brushing) if specifically asked to and if this has been done successfully during a trial sit.
